Social Media Resident

Gallery Media Group is a rapidly growing digital media company whose mission is to “make positivity louder.” Its three key sectors include: 

• Media + Publishing: PureWow, a women’s lifestyle brand; ONE37pm, a men’s lifestyle brand at the intersection of culture, music, NFTs and sports; and a collection of premium podcast shows that includes the GaryVee Audio Experience, Mom Brain, In House with Arielle Charnas, Royally Obsessed and The CMO Podcast with Jim Stengel.
• Social Portfolio: 50+ owned + operated accounts across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest, including running TikTok accounts for brand partners
• Talent and Influencer Arm: Strategy and activations ranging from celebrity partnerships and stunts to year long ambassadorships and campaign work across platforms and categories 

We are looking for somebody to come on board full-time for a three-month, fixed term residency creating social media content for TikTok & Instagram (plus some Pinterest, and Youtube). You will be working as part of our Growth team.

The ideal candidate would be looking to kick start a career in social media strategy, social content creation and/or digital publishing. We are looking for somebody who lives and breathes social media and has impressive examples of their own work on TikTok to show for it. 

You will be working remotely, with a view to potentially join the team in our Hudson Yards office when the climate allows.

Responsibilities:

• You will create entertaining, engaging, and original content across multiple social platforms (lifestyle, beauty, food, pets, family, etc) 
• You will curate content across multiple social media platforms 
• You will be responsible for daily social media management and posting
• You will be responsible for ongoing community management across social platforms and handles
• You will monitor the success of content and ideate on ways to improve and optimize performance
• You will produce regular reporting and analysis for social handles you manage, inclusive of detailed content analysis and strategic recommendations.

Skills and experience:

• A strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and/or Pinterest 
• Video editing and photoshop proficiency is required 
• You are reliable, motivated, self-sufficient, and a fast worker
• Creative thinking and tons of ideas and a finger on the pulse of culture
• You have proven experience with digital storytelling (either on your own handles or elsewhere)  
• Relevant internship experience or education is preferred, but not required

Salary: $17.00 per hour
