Since 1987, the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) has set the standard in certification, continuing education, solutions and tools for health and fitness, sports performance and sports medicine professionals. NASM has pioneered evidence-based health and fitness solutions that optimize physical performance and allow individuals to achieve a variety of fitness activity goals.
We are seeking a technically-savvy and community-oriented Social Media Specialist. As our Social Media Specialist, you will serve as a voice for our companies' online. Responsibilities will include the day-to-day management of our various social media channels, influencer campaigns and coordination, as well as other communication and content marketing projects. This position will utilize creativity, organizational skills and social media marketing best practices in order to drive growth, create social value, establish a holistic digital narrative, enhance our organization's image, improve digital communication with clients, and encourage overall business growth.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, advertising, or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of digital marketing or social media marketing experience
- Experience planning and leading community initiatives
- Hands-on experience with social media management
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills
- Experience with Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and other Social Media Analytics
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software, specifically Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere
- Experience with Sprout Social, Google Analytics, and Wrike preferred
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of social media marketing best practices
Responsibilities:
- Write, plan and schedule daily social media posts, spanning across all platforms and brands, including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest
- Own and manage the social media calendar, keeping it up-to-date and adjusting as needed
- Oversee NASM's sister-companies, AFAA and ClubConnect's social media channels
- Monitor page and group activity, coordinate with member services team using Sprout Social and Birdeye to ensure customers are responded to in a timely manner
- Oversee and grow our Influencer Marketing program, identifying and building relationships with key industry influencers. Responsible for coordinating influencer communications, including initial outreach, contracts, invoicing, promo codes, and approving and monitoring posts.
- Monitor, track and report on key social media and influencer KPIs
- Coordinate across departments, including: Marketing, PR, Product Development and Sales
- Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends and the ever-changing social media and influencer landscapes
