Help us connect with Spanish speaking fans across the country by managing the social community for this new endeavor. You will also have opportunities to assist with social media across the larger WeatherGroup portfolio as well.

I. Position Summary

The Social Media Specialist will support the marketing and programming teams in order to grow social media presence for The Weather Channel's new Spanish language FAST channel across all social media platforms. They will seek innovative ways to leverage The Weather Channel's brands and meteorologists to increase engagement with fans and support various company initiatives

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create, promote and maintain social presence for current and upcoming corporate initiatives, including promotion of The Weather Channel's Spanish language FAST channel, company branding efforts, severe weather coverage and more.
• Post daily content to TWC's Spanish language social platforms
• Identify key moments in programming and use them to create social videos and graphics
• Understand what is or will be trending and create content plans around them
• Analyze and interpret data from multiple sources to strengthen social media efforts
• Maintain TWC brand standards across all products and marketing efforts
• Manage creative assets to be used across social channels

III. Education, Experience, Certification Requirements

• College graduate, Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications preferred
• 2 years experience in social media and/or marketing related role
• Fluent in Spanish, including demonstrated proficiency in written Spanish
• Fundamental understanding of effective creative
• Up to date on social media best practices and trends
