Job Description
Gallery Media Group is a rapidly growing digital media company whose mission is to “make positivity louder.” Its three key sectors include:
- Media + Publishing: PureWow, a women’s lifestyle brand; ONE37pm, a men’s lifestyle brand at the intersection of culture, music, NFTs and sports; and social-born brands such as @recipes, @cocktails, @moms
- Social Portfolio: 50+ owned + operated accounts across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest, including running TikTok accounts for brand partners
- Talent and Influencer Arm: Strategy and activations ranging from celebrity partnerships and stunts to year long ambassadorships and campaign work across platforms and categories
We are looking for a mid-level social strategist to help develop, implement and execute social media strategy for a leading beauty brand’s TikTok handle.
Working as part of the Growth team, the Social Media Strategist will be the point person for said brand, who engages GMG to strategize, build, grow, and run their social channel.
This is a six (6) month contract position, based in Canada.
Roles & responsibilities:
- You will analyze the relevant social landscape for opportunities and create content strategies that align with the overall brand goals, KPIs, and priorities accordingly.
- You will work with internal social media and audience development editors to ideate content plans and schedule for client approval.
- You will brief, assign, and manage external content creators to deliver multiple pieces of content daily in-line with client expectations, standards, and feedback.
- You will apply your strong understanding of social platforms to create quick, reactive content that capitalizes on trending sounds and hashtags.
- You will be responsible for daily community management and account engagement.
- You will produce regular reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders for the social campaigns you manage, inclusive of detailed content analysis and strategic recommendations.
Experience:
- Proven experience building social media audiences, especially on TikTok.
- 2-5 years working for an agency, digital publisher, and/or brand.
- Prior experience/strong interest in beauty/wellness preferred
- Good communication, presentation, and analytical skills, and experience communicating results and ideas with clients.
- You will be a proven creative and data-driven thinker who understands the importance of both art and science when it comes to social content success.
