Social Media Supervision Specialist

How will your role impact First Command?
The Social Media Supervision Specialist is responsible for the development, execution and oversight of compliance functions governing and supporting First Command's digital marketing programs. Must have a keen interest in all things "social."
What will you be doing?
- Collaborates with the Social Media Supervision Manager, and members of the Legal, Compliance and Human Resources teams to develop and continuously improve policies and procedures regarding digital and social media use.
- Implements and oversees the social media monitoring and record keeping required by FINRA, SEC and state regulatory agencies while also protecting employee and Advisor privacy.
- Registered Principal, Series 24 holder, manages the Hearsay Systems Social Media and Website Surveillance Solution
- Onboards personnel and assets that need to be monitored
- Ensures that monitoring is occurring properly and works to correct the offending party.
- Decommissions participants when they are terminated or decide to leave the program.
- Registered Principal conducts supervisory and compliance duties including regularly reviewing First Command branded social media sites and conducts ongoing supervision of registered representatives', Series 7 and 66 holders, social media presence to support reputation and compliant management processes.
- Provide support for internal and external audit requests as needed
- Assists with tasks and projects and other duties as required
- Work hours may include evenings and weekends
What skills/qualifications do you need?
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Sound background in FINRA and SEC compliance
- Superior supervision and compliance knowledge, preferably with an emphasis on marketing and advertising
- Experience supervising and managing registered personal
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills and project management experience
- Experience managing a social media surveillance solution, preferably Hearsay Systems
- Knowledge of the US military; prior military service a plus
- Superior judgment, ethics and integrity
- A sense of urgency and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks successfully
- Diplomacy, grace under pressure and a good sense of humor.
Education
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years in a Broker/Dealer compliance role with minimum of 1 year advertising supervision experience
- FINRA Series 7, 66, and 24 licenses and sound knowledge of FINRA and SEC Advertising Rules and Regulations
- Experience as a Financial Advisor preferred
