Athena is looking for a talented analyst to support our digital media monitoring, alerting, and reporting projects. A successful candidate must have solid research skills, a love of social data, strong time management skills, be very detail oriented and self-motivated. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience analyzing digital media engagement and adding immediate value to clients.

A key component of the job will focus on social and digital brand tracking. The social media specialist will demonstrate a high level of expertise managing multiple client priorities, the technical knowledge to distill extensive data sets into concise reports, and the ability to quickly discern when issues need further escalation. The specialist will have a deep familiarity with multiple social media and digital channels, can think critically when analyzing social media engagement, and has excellent business acumen.

  • Strong written, verbal, and online communication skills with an understanding of how to follow and incorporate consistent tone
  • Detail-oriented and demonstrated research skills
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary to ensure day and evening coverage

Other Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience or degree in communications, digital, social media, customer experience, business analytics, community management or marketing preferred
  • Social media monitoring, social listening, or social analytics experience preferred
  • Experience in a tech-related industry, preferably telecommunications, is a plus
