Summary:

The Social Worker LMSW will provide services to patients and families at our Prosper Medical Center who have acute or chronic medical conditions. The Social Worker provides ongoing supportive counseling aimed at maintaining the functional behavior of families. The social worker assesses families for needed assistance with resource procurement that aids the family's efforts in caring for their child in either the ambulatory or inpatient care setting.

Work Hours/Days: Sat & Sun 8 am - 6:30 pm

• MSW or MSSW from an accredited school.
• Current Texas License for LMSW.
• Previous experience working in a hospital preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with children and their families preferred.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for Health Care Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
