Summary:

This Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) will primarily work with our specialty clinic providing psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, case management/discharge planning, referral linkage, and emotionally supportive counseling aimed at maintaining functional behavior within families. The social worker assesses families for needed assistance with resource procurement that aids the family's efforts in caring for their child and makes referrals to outside agencies for families in need of assistance. Must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and perform administrative tasks.

Required Education/Experience:

• MSW or MSSW from an accredited school.
• Previous experience working with children and families preferred.
• Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

• Current Texas License for LMSW.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for Health Care Providers within 30 days of employment.
