Apogee is seeking an Acquisition Specialist located at MacDill AFB, FL in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics' (SOF AT&L) Program Executive Office for SOF Digital Applications SDA. PEO-SDA's vision is to provide USSOCOM a "one-stop shop" for SOF software-intensive digital applications. SDA's sole purpose is to ensure SOF Warfighters receive point-of-need knowledge innovation and the software support to remain the premier information dominance force anywhere, anytime.

What you will be doing:
- Execute the duties of the primary acquisition support for the SDA Platform Team.
- Develop acquisition documentation to include SOW, PWS, SAMP, APB, ADM, CFDR, FDR, MFP, and FM deliverables spend plans, Congressional Briefs, inter-department and agency funding transfers, and develop funding strategies addressing emerging requirements and budget challenges.
- Directly control finances in USSOCOM financial management systems to include the movement, tracking, reporting of several different lines of accounting coming from many external government organizations.
- Develop financial statements and analyze costs and expenses for all contract strategies.
- Execute contract strategy for incoming funding from customers.
- Ensure accuracy of budget data estimates by use of statistical techniques, e.g., extensions, averages, and trend analysis of historical data.
- Determine how best to allocate, obligate, and expend funding.
- Establish new forecasting and tracking system to improve the accuracy of financial data.
- Correspond with customers to assist in duties related to incoming funds and to ascertain all requirements are met.
- Perform monthly expense trending analysis by accounts, work areas, and business units.
- Serve as a point of contact for all contractual communications and commitments as well as ensure timely review and feedback for prime contractor.
- Analyze company's contracting process and technologies and provide recommendations for potential improvements.
- Monitor and track obligations and expenditures for assigned activity accounts on related budgetary forms, schedules, and reports.
- Develop, prepare, analyze, and draw insights from periodic management, operational, and financial reporting used to drive decision making.
- Develop metrics, analyze status, and recommended courses of action to the PM in support of periodic program / internal / customer reviews - serve as the focal point for metrics and key program data.
- Identify root-cause and corrective actions for complex program problems.
- Coordinate Program messaging and requests for information with multiple external sponsors and action officers.
- Administer and host virtual meeting with multiple external agencies and USSOCOM elements.
- Host large working groups, develop agendas, control schedules, manage the introduction of speakers and the collection and dissemination of briefing materials.
What you'll need:
- Security clearance required: Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
- Bachelor's in Business Administration or Finance with 5 years of DoD acquisition program management experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- DAWIA Functional (formerly Level I) Equivalency in the Program Management, Engineering and Technical Management, or Test and Evaluation fields
- Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System and the Defense Acquisition Framework, as well as USSOCOM acquisition policies, processes, and procedures
- Knowledge of SOF and TSOC operations and mission sets that generate critical requirements
