This position is contingent upon the award of a SOCOM contract. Work is expected to begin as early as January 2024.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Iron EagleX is looking for a SOF Casing & Posture SME to join us, supporting a USSOCOM customer located at MacDill AFB. The J52 has responsibility for developing USSOCOM strategy, policy, and plans that providing key and critical insights through structured and analytic studies of SOF strategies, plans, and posture to inform USSOCOM senior leaders' strategic understanding and articulation of risk that drive decisions on forces, footprints, and agreements; planning guidance and implementation; and force development; developing the Global SOF Posture Plan (GSPP); serving as the link for USSOCOM on the Joint Force Posture Planning process and events; and providing key and critical insights through structured and analytic studies of SOF strategies, plans, and posture to inform USSOCOM senior leaders' strategic understanding and articulation of risk that drive decisions on forces, footprints, and agreements; planning guidance and implementation; and force development. This position will sit in Tampa, FL.

Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Provide analysis, assessment, and related written products in support of SOF basing and posture, planning, and campaigning. The Contractor shall perform tasks such as:

• Provide relevant, on-site SOF posture SME support to facilitate, coordinate, and engage in all tasks related to global SOF posture issues.
• Provide briefs, updates, and participates in required meetings, engagements, and coordination efforts that enable production of deliverables.
• Conduct strategic analysis and command assessments to provide senior leaders the deep situational understanding they required to make timely and critical decisions for the SOF Enterprise.
• Provide SMEs with knowledge of the joint strategic planning system, operations art, and operational design.
• Support the development of USSOCOM strategic documents by providing subject matter expertise, document preparation and coordination, in-depth analysis of strategic factors, data collection and analysis, seminar/symposium, conference, and war-game participation.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

• Theater Special Operations Command operational experience of 3+; preference for skills/experience in either J3 or J5 staff roles.
• Optional Specializations (one or more areas preferred): 5+ years in SOF, 4+ years at CCMD or Service, JPME II or War College graduate.
• Writing and briefing skills must be ready to excel at 4-star level command.
