ASRC is supporting the MDDC contract (Missile Defense Data Center) which is responsible for test product data management across MDA, including data center operations, support of test design, planning, and products, and analysis infrastructure operations for the BMDS Test Program. This role is specifically supporting ARC - Advanced Research Center for the MDA which isA state-of-the-art high performance computing facility supporting space and missile defense (MD) elements developing hardware and software.
We are looking for aSoftware Air Worthiness Analyst toConducs software (SW) airworthiness and mission assurance evaluations for DoD aviation systems throughout the SW life cycle from initial requirements through design, implementation, testing, delivery, and support. Utilizes excellent written and oral communication skills to maintain successful dailyinteraction with customer and teammates. Operates proactively with ability to handle significant responsibility, with particular attention to detail.
Requirements
Required
- ABET accredited BS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

- Real experience developing mission critical SW in C, C++, or ADA
Desired
- Experience with Aviation SW Systems
- Knowledge of the Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) Airworthiness Release (AWR) process, MIL-HDBK-516, or the Army Military Airworthiness Certification Criteria (AMACC)
- Familiarity with SW development/lifecycle such as IEEE 12207, MIL-STD-498
- Experience with Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and/or Failure Mode, Effects Critical Analysis (FMECA)
- Working knowledge of DO-178, MIL-STD-882, JSSSEH, AMCOM Regulation 385-17, SAE ARP 4761, or similar SW safety standards
- Knowledge of the integration and verification of large systems
- Knowledge of static and dynamic code analysis
- Experience with Model Based Software Engineering (MBSE)
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, Rhapsody, DOORS, SCADE, Understand, etc.
- Experience with Unmanned Aerial Systems and their operation
- Bachelors and 6 years' experience
