About the Role

Lead a team of hardworking, dynamic and passionate software engineers, working with key architects, product managers and other team members to deliver enabling functionality for our Workday Student product which is built to meet the needs of today's colleges and universities. The team's overall goal will be to accelerate the delivery of new features in an agile environment while safeguarding the high quality our customers expect from Workday applications.

Workday is unique in that it builds enterprise software in the cloud on a single codeline through a continuous development model allowing for rapid delivery of our software to our customers. As an engineering manager, you will be guiding an application development team that is responsible for supporting our existing customers and developing new features to enable our products.

• Provide direction on the architectural decisions needed to implement innovative product capabilities
• Interact regularly with the group leadership team, as well as collaborate with your technical and architectural peers across Workday to drive successful outcomes for our customers

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years experience developing Enterprise software, ideally in Software as a Service (SaaS) model
• Object-Oriented design and development experience in an object oriented language such as Java, C++, Python, C#
• Experience leading a product development team

Other qualifications

• Metadata-driven development experience is a plus
