Software Architect

Introduction
Provides technical direction and advises management on new and proposed software projects. Develops strategies and long-term plans for researching new or projected operating systems and complete software architecture and provides recommendations.
Conceptualizes researches analyzes and proposes new software architecture designs and evaluates and recommends enhancements to existing software architecture. Designs researches and develops components of software architecture. Coordinates and/or provides technical direction on integration of new complex technologies with overall software architecture.

Your Role and Responsibilities
12+ years of experience and at least 4 to 5 years in Architecting and developing Large Scale Enterprise Applications

• Provides technical direction and advises management on new and proposed software projects.
• Develops strategies and long-term plans for researching new or projected operating systems and complete software architecture and provides recommendations to senior and executive management.
• Conceptualizes researches analyzes and proposes new software architecture designs and evaluates and recommends enhancements to existing software architecture. Evaluates proposed hardware architecture for software impact and provides recommendations on integrating designs with existing architecture.
• Designs researches and develops components of software architecture.
• Coordinates and/or provides technical direction on integration of new highly complex technologies with overall software architecture. Ensures that newly designed or revised databases comply with company standards for design maintenance modification and efficiency.
• Troubleshoots and resolves or recommends highly creative solutions for highly complex software problems that impact software and/or systems architecture.
• Provides technical direction on product planning for complete software systems.
• Participates in presenting technical plans and proposals to various technical and non-technical groups and provides recommendations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Very strong in Java based technologies
• Should have knowledge about IBM Engineering lifecycle management tool(earlier called as Rational Tools)
• Must have a broad strong technical knowledge which encompasses Software Development Dev-Ops CI/CD/Release automation Security
• Comprehensive knowledge of overall software architecture and related databases. Expertise in Java/J2EE SQL (DB2 Oracle) NoSQL Big Data Kubernetes Operators React/Angular Hyperscalers
• Deployment architecture for enterprise grade cloud env (public / private)
• Proven experience in designing & architecting – HA. fault tolerant scalable systems.
• Designing for PSR (performance scalability reliability.
• In-depth knowledge of system software engineering methodologies principles and practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of software development tools and Agile Methods
• Extensive Experience with automation/configuration management using either Chef Puppet or an equivalent.
• Experience in application security transaction management and design patterns
• Should be able to evaluate open-source tools & technologies recommend suitable tools based on the requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Expert in management of critical customer situations with the ability to avoid escalations acting as De-escalation Architect where required.
• Ability to lead and coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Ability to conceptualize and interpret new architecture designs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve highly complex software problems that require highly creative solutions.
• Ability to research analyze and interpret highly complex technical data for comprehension at various organizational levels and provide recommendations.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Comprehensive knowledge of related software languages (Java Scripting languages & tools (performance benchmark profiling)
