Software Architect

Job Description:
The Software Architect is responsible for the activity surrounding the stability and growth of DealerOn’s homegrown software and systems. Duties include developing new software solutions, evaluating and suggesting new technologies, leading and documenting the development of new products, and mentoring members of the development team. The Software Architect is responsible for planning, scoping, designing, developing, and reviewing development work in addition to completing their own projects. This position requires designing and building large scale, highly efficient architecture as well as working closely with the teams to ensure the development of high-quality code.
Essential Functions:

• Ensure common process flows that reduce technical debt with respect to slightly varying business processes
• Design the technical vision by mapping requirements to technical solutions, communicated through functional and technical design documents
• Act as the Primary Architect and Technical Leader for development of micro services platform that supports our mission-critical applications
• Spin up a new metrics-driven product for internal and external facing customers
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Work with other developers and internal customers to define requirements, conduct technical analysis, generate implementation and integration plans for new projects, and execute
• Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for their implementation, when appropriate

Required Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Deep understanding Object Oriented Programming
• Experience building Service Oriented Architecture and managing an eco-system of microservices
• Experience working in groups of varying sizes as well as accomplishing individual work
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team on large scale solutions

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• .NET background, particularly in large web-based and service-oriented applications
• Familiarity with data analytics platforms
• Knowledge of Azure SQL, MS-SQL, Cosmos DB, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch

The salary range for this position is $106,400 - $217,500.
