The opportunity
The Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) User Interface team is hiring for a talented Senior Software Architect to play a pivotal role in designing and guiding the development of enterprise-scale products that serve some of the world's largest and most renowned brands!
This role is a high-impact opportunity that empowers Architects to leave a lasting impression in one of Adobe's most rapidly expanding business sectors. You will have the opportunity to shape the vision of cross-cutting initiatives and serve as the critical link between conceptualization and practical execution.
Achieving success in this role requires not just technical expertise but also the executive presence to propel the vision forward.
This position is located in our Lehi, Utah office.
What you'll do
- Conceptualize and design top-tier, responsive, and scalable solutions with a focus on architecture and product ownership
- Ensure organizational alignment and lead the technical execution of innovative and critical initiatives, utilizing the latest tools and technologies
- Work across the stack and all platform applications while collaborating with product and engineering partners throughout the company to improve the user experience for critical customer facing applications
- Drive efforts to improve technical quality and solutions through activities such as code reviews, architecture assessments, documentation, and test suite strategies
- Guide efforts to improve operational effectiveness, enhancing security, performance, infrastructure efficiency, and user experiences
- Be a mentor and support to engineers across the company; strong communication skills are essential in this role
- Encourage partners, customers, and promote Adobe through participation in internal and external conferences
What you need to succeed
- 10+ years of professional experience architecting and designing highly performant and sophisticated web-based applications using modern web development technologies
- With over 40 teams across the platform, you will need deep experience developing enterprise software that has multiple integrations across many teams
- Deep expertise in front-end applications and the associated infrastructure, including technologies such as GraphQL, CSS, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Experience in building tools and solutions for technical users, such as APIs, SDKs, or libraries
- Strong foundation in contemporary software engineering practices and standard methodologies, encompassing testing, build automation, monitoring and observability technologies, CI/CD, and more
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in English
- Deep understanding of cloud deployment strategies
- Experience with large datasets and data pipelines, along with a strong interest in these domains, is a plus
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $163,400 -- $302,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
