BBH is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Fund Administration Systems team as Software Architect / Technical Lead.

Position Summary:

The BBH Fund Administration Systems team objectives are to provide innovative solutions to our Fund Administration business unit which has responsibility for Financial Reporting, Regulatory Filing, Post Trade Compliance, Expense Administration, Fund Performance & Attribution, and Corporate Secretary business services.

As a Fund Administration Systems Technical Lead you lead a full-systems service team inclusive of Java Developers, SQL Developers, Systems Analysts and Quality Assurance Analysts. You must be highly skilled, team oriented, and eager to learn to contribute in a mature and proactive way to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and design for a product development
• Understand, articulate, and depict overall application flow, and integrate larger system perspective in design, testing and problem resolution
• Responsible for the development of technical roadmaps
• Foster and drive innovation, overseeing the prioritization of new business concepts/ideas
• Works with developers, product managers, and customer application experts to define solutions, products and modules with required features and functionality
• Consistent practice in coding and unit testing
• Conduct code reviews for the team and have well established standards and practices for the team
• Work with distributed teams (infrastructure, network, etc.) and act as subject matter expert
• Provide technical leadership on best practices for chosen architecture and technology
• Identify issues and risks and proactively add to the iterative discussion
• Communicate efficiently within and outside the team
• Strong organizational, time management

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

• 3+ years of technical leadership and mentoring skills
• 8+ years of professional experience as a full stack software engineer
• Java 11/17 - must be proficient in the language, core libraries & design patterns (Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Integration)
• Experience with REST WebServices
• Experience with ORM frameworks (JPA, Hibernate, OpenJPA)
• Experience with test framework: JUnit, TestNG, Mockito
• RDBMS concepts - must understand basic principles of data modeling. Experience with Oracle is a plus
• Proficiency with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS
• Good Experience with version control practices preferably using Git
• Engaging in application architecture and design decisions
• Implementing/maintaining a repeatable iterative software development methodology
• Improve the code quality with effective testing and review process
• Design and develop scalable technical implementations
• Experience with one or more modern front end frameworks/libraries such as Angular, React is a plus
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Good communicator, keen to collaborate and share knowledge

Salary Range

130,000 - 190,000 (Jersey City)

BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
