Job Description
Seeking a Software Assurance Analyst to provide technical support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Engineering Directorate Modeling & Simulation (M&S) office (DES) team supporting Objective Simulation Framework (OSF).
Job Requirements
- Familiarization with Application Security and Development Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs)
- Familiarization with software development and how it pertains to Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls and generating software assurance packages
- Support Cybersecurity efforts, which include software assurance methods, perform software analysis using automated analysis tools (HP Fortify/Code Valor) and manual techniques to identify coding flaws, exploitable vulnerabilities, and malicious indicators in software applications
- Examines supplier-provided documents prepared during the software development process to ensure technical accuracy, readability, and completeness
- Provides recommended changes to satisfy documentation requirements, project objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Reviews detailed reports (Software Threat Assessment Reports, Software Attack Surface Analysis Report, and Interface Design Documents) of identified issues and works with prime contractor personnel and software development personnel to analyze, identify mitigations and provide guidance on requirements that Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is enforcing with MDA Memo 16 and MDA processes
- Directly interfaces with government management personnel and is adept at oral and written communication required at all levels of management to maintain control of assigned programs and projects and advocate for program mission
- Other duties can include assisting the cyber team with cyber assessments, auditing functions and helping build RMF packages.
- Willing to travel to sites approximately 10% travel
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in software development or software assurance methods
- Candidate must comply with experience, training and certification requirements for DoD 8570 IAT level II or IAM level I upon employment (e.g. Security + CE or higher)
- Self-starter that thrives in a dynamic environment, works well within a team environment
- Bachelor's in a technical discipline and 2 years experience, years of experience may be substituted for a degree
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
