Software Backend Engineer (Hybrid, Dublin Office)

Reporting to the Product Engineering Team Manager, you'll work hybrid-onsite through our Dublin office.

Seller Ops. Help sellers succeed by building tools that refine operations and payments, allowing businesses to focus on growth while we handle the complexities.

Bio Sites & Unfold: Work on products that let creators, entrepreneurs, and businesses share their world through one link and create stunning content to captivate their audiences.

i18n: Expand Squarespace's global reach by designing features that delight non-English speaking users, helping us thrive in international markets.

Website Platform: Build the systems that power all Squarespace websites, enabling other teams to develop new features and evolve our platform to support millions of users.

What you will do:

• Design and build scalable backend services with Java/GoLang to support millions of users.
• Solve high-volume, production-level challenges to ensure our systems are fast, efficient, and reliable.
• Collaborate with top engineers, designers, and product teams to create features that enhance user experience.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of critical systems that power global businesses.

Who you are:

• 3+ years experience with Java, Go, or other object-oriented languages.
• Well-experienced in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with large-scale software systems.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with MongoDB, SQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
