Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the rapidly growing team of business analysts in Dematic's software organization! As part of this global team of software experts, you will assist design and delivery of the best software solutions to our customers.

As a Software Business Analyst, you are responsible to define and manage the functional scope for our software projects, that may include multiple software platforms/products, to our customer. You will work with a cross-functional team that includes sales, project management, software engineering and customer service to ensure successful delivery of software solutions to our customer.

This is What You Will Do in This Role:
  • Serve as a functional expert with our customers, sales, and delivery teams
  • Lead and support planning requirements for software projects
  • Lead business process analysis, develop software functional specifications and conduct requirement workshops
  • Train, mentor and support engineering teams to implement projects from a functional perspective
  • Manage scope and requirement traceability with customer and project team throughout the project
  • Support factory and site acceptance tests with customer
  • Facilitate project retrospectives to support continuous improvement
  • Build strong partnerships to align activities, resolve conflicts, and achieve project and business goals
  • Define standard software solution process flows and functionalities
  • 20% travel for direct face-to-face customer workshops and conversations

What We are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering discipline or equivalent experience/training with certification
  • 5+ yrs of software project team or management experience
  • Serve as a functional expert with our customers, sales, and delivery teams
  • Lead and support planning requirements for software projects
  • Lead business process analysis, develop software functional specifications and conduct requirement workshops
  • Train, mentor and support engineering teams to implement projects from a functional perspective
  • Manage scope and requirement traceability with customer and project team throughout the project
  • Support factory and site acceptance tests with customer
  • Facilitate project retrospectives to support continuous improvement
  • Build strong partnerships to align activities, resolve conflicts, and achieve project and business goals
  • Define standard software solution process flows and functionalities

*Willingness to travel up to 20% for direct face-to-face customer workshops and conversations

Nice to Have:
  • PMP certification or like certification preferred
  • 1+ years of industrial automation industry experience (WMS or WCS) a plus
