About the role:
As a Software Craftsmanship Coach, you'll be instrumental in elevating our software development practices. Your role focuses on mentoring our engineering team, instilling a culture of quality, and championing Test-Driven Development (TDD). You'll guide our engineers in understanding and loving TDD, ensuring high code hygiene and continuous improvement in our coding practices. This is not just a technical role; it's about shaping the mindset and approach towards crafting exemplary software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor and guide engineers towards embracing and excelling in TDD and clean code practices.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions to instill best practices in software craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with teams to identify, address, and resolve code quality issues.
• Advocate for continuous improvement and learning in software development processes.
• Foster a culture that values technical excellence and craft in software development.
• Oversee and improve peer reviews of code.

Requirements

• Profound knowledge and experience in Python and TypeScript, as these are the primary languages of our codebase.
• Demonstrated expertise in software engineering best practices, especially Test-Driven Development.
• Strong interpersonal and mentorship skills to effectively guide and inspire the development team.
• Ability to assess, refine, and innovate our software development processes and practices.

The Base Salary range for this position is $185,000 - $285,000 USD annually. This range reflects base salary only and does not include additional compensation or benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum range for a new hire across the US for the posted position. A candidate's specific pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the candidate's job-related skills, relevant education, training, experience, certifications, and abilities of the candidate, as well as other factors unique to each candidate.
