Using strong SQL skills to investigate reported issues and diagnose system challenges, you will work closely with developers, support team members, and system users to ensure the smooth functioning of our software applications and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
NOTE: This role is part of our Data Center in Dunwoody, but will work from home. However, because of the need to collaborate, there will be times where in person meetings are necessary. Therefore, consideration will be given to candidates who are based in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area.
WHAT THIS ROLE DOES
- Documents issue as they are
- Review issues to determine accuracy of reported issue, state of data and potential solutions
- Debugs and reviews applications to confirm presence of issue
- Assists in preparing detailed solutions to resolve issues that are
- Assists in research and fact-finding for
- Assist in meetings with end users to review
- Execute and solve issues with software applications as directed by IT
- Document solutions to ease future resolution of recurring
- Create scheduled jobs to automatically correct data issues
- Provides computer hardware/software
- Provides 1st point of contact for communicating with Level 1 and Level 2 support analysts as issues reported to the development team
- Performs investigation on issues as directed by developers on the team
- Works with the Development Manager to further escalate support issues to other developers
- Assists help desk with support issues as needed
- Assists with QA when necessary to troubleshoot issues
WHAT WE THINK THIS ROLE WILL NEED
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related area or at least 1 year of current programming experience.1+ years of experience developing and supporting custom-built web, desktop and/or server applications within a corporate environment (Retail preferred).1 year of experience developing applications in .NET (Visual Basic .NET or, C#) or ASP.NET using Microsoft Visual Studio (prefer 2015/2017/2019/2022).
1 year of experience in Microsoft Structured Query Language, Microsoft SQL Server (prefer 2016/2019), and database programming tools as well as 1year of experience working with version control and related software management systems (Git, DevOps, TFS).
Experience in documenting, testing, troubleshooting client server-based and web-based computer systems.
Support of Desktop-deployed applications (console GUI) andweb-based applications and services (API and GUI).Knowledge of deploying desktop and server-based applications, including Web and API.Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server SQL and TSQL.
Strong understanding of Windows Desktop (10/11) and Windows Server operating systems (2016/2019).Understanding of retail/catalog business systems and database.Good interpersonal, technical writing and analytical problem-solving
