The system requires extreme reliability, resilience and performance. It is the most critical infrastructure that transfers messages across systems. The team works on problems that cover a wide spectrum - from web services, RFCs and networking layers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain large-scale distributed systems that balance resources, constraints, requirements, and complexity
• Deploy, monitor and operate large scale production systems distributed across the globe
• Automate the provisioning, scaling, and management of Mail Delivery infrastructure
• Participate in agile development with weekly sprints, planning & estimating work, daily standup, & retrospective
• Effectively collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams

You Must Have

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field with strong understanding of the fundamentals including Data Structures, Algorithms, OS and Networking
• 3+ years experience in software development with Java or C++ or Golang
• Experience with designing and developing high performing and complex server applications on Unix
• Outstanding troubleshooting and debugging skills with performance tuning experience
• Great communicator, enjoys helping people, remains friendly and constructive under stress

Love To Have

• Strong understanding of network programming and client/server architecture
• Professional experience with high availability/throughput distributed system
• Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, HBase and Spark
• Experience in algorithm design and ML/AI
• Experience with queuing and streaming technologies like Kafka or Apache Storm
• Experience with public cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)

The compensation for this position ranges from $111,000.00 - $231,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
