Your Role and Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a talented software developer with to join our CPD development team. As a backend Software Developer you will be responsible for working in a fast paced and dynamic setting delivering Planning Analytics software to Cloud Pak for Data.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related area of study.
• Strong understanding of OOP Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Professional experience in software development using functional and/or object-oriented programming.
• Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in delivering container based software applications using Docker Ansible/Helm RHOS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins Travis etc.
• Experience in Javascript Node.js
• Experience with Github and Jira.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and SCRUM.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with Docker RedHat OpenShift and CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins Travis etc.
• Good debugging skills and trouble-shooting.
• Familiarity with Git and Jira
• Experience in one or more of the following: JavaScript Node.js Intern or Selenium
• Demonstrated ability to operate within short release cycles.
