Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented mid-level Software Engineer / Developer to join our growing Mission Solutions team!

As a Software Developer with us, you will be part of a quality-driven team, providing crucial support, development, and enhancements to an array of cutting-edge software tools that empower the DoD community and Defense Intelligence Enterprise to quickly and effectively consume and manipulate intelligence data to produce actionable insights and products. You will be at the heart of innovation, constantly pushing boundaries by designing and implementing new and exciting features to enhance how intelligence is consolidated, analyzed, and shared across the DoD enterprise. In this role you will be a member of our full-stack software development team, which is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the many diverse software applications that are essential to this mission.

As the team is in the beginning stages of modernizing and updating the current code base, you will work closely with the team and team lead to gain expertise in the existing code base, develop expertise in emerging software applications, understand and contribute to task requirements, and implement software upgrades and enhancements. You should be able to problem-solve and work within a highly collaborative team environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Deconstruct requirements into manageable tasking and implementing software enhancements
  • Participating in technical discussions to assist in near- and long-term planning
  • Developing web application software and automated tests using Java, Python, and/or JavaScript
  • Working alongside a team, including mentoring junior software developers on software development practices and design
  • Providing technical support to a team of engineers and our customers
  • Presenting information using data visualization techniques

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • No clearance require to start. However, you must be willing and able to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with a counterintelligence polygraph
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or the equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages, specifically Java, C#, and/or Python.
  • Ability to analyze technical issues and come up with potential solutions
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies

What Desired Skills You Might Bring:

  • Active SECRET or TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • Experience with Spring Boot
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Experience with Neo4J
  • Front and back end app development
  • Security+

Salary Range:

$68,400.00 - $119,700.00
