Responsibilities
  • Leveraging upon technical expertise, ensure full-stack software solutions are architected and delivered in a Splunk Cloud environment using industry-leading DevOps best practices and technologies
  • Collaborate to define best practices and standards around DevOps and Service Resilience
  • Create reusable automation libraries that can be applied across the enterprise
  • Enable resilience and high availability for numerous platforms, from bleeding-edge cloud applications to residual legacy environments
  • Determine HA/DR, Security, Capacity, and Compliance strategies for existing and new applications
  • Design, develop and deliver scalable and automated services architecture
  • Optimize and support our existing public cloud or data center-based solutions and workloads
  • Develop APIs and automation to simplify service consumption by end-users and engineers
  • Write software delivery pipelines for various enterprise customers and services
  • Ensure engineering team successfully delivers on critical projects and initiatives by leveraging upon technical thought leadership
  • Develop Usage Standards, User Self-Service designs, and reporting on application KPIs
  • Write programs to generate metrics to facilitate a deep understanding of the service
  • Some telecommuting is permitted


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or engineering consultant-related occupation


Preferred Requirements

Position requires at least 5 years of experience in the following skills:
  • Utilization of Splunk in the following areas: IT Operations, compliance, dev ops, network security, system administration and security
  • Creation of searches, dashboards, and visualizations in Splunk
  • Working in an Agile environment to ensure faster delivery of solutions and performing role of a Scrum Master on a rotational basis
  • Utilization of scripting languages (Shell and Python) for the design, development and maintenance of automated solutions to deliver self-service solutions for enterprise customers
  • Enterprise logging and regular expressions to extract data optimally for Splunk ingestion
  • Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL)
  • Translation of business requirements into solutions to leverage Splunk platform including architecture diagrams, and runbooks to manage
  • Enterprise scale operations and maintenance environments
  • DevOps best practices to design optimal solutions for architecting and maintaining Splunk platform and to design solutions for Enterprise applications to utilize logging tools
