The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

We need a talented software developer to further the tremendous success of the 4ESS cluster product. The 4ESS has been providing high level successful service to our customer. We are continuing to upgrade from Legacy Platforms to off the shelf platforms. We believe in Subject Matter Expertise and code ownership. We keep the process simple, so developers can focus on code. What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team, you will:

  • Develop software features in moving NCP features to Red Hat Linux and HPE hardware
  • Developing virtualized applications across NCP platform.
  • Develop software, including design, and coding, as well as maintenance of software.
  • Design the architecture of the functional modules
  • Unit test the features you develop
  • Maintain the software developed, providing Customer support and technical assistance
  • Helping in migrating development tools to newer platform
  • Diagnosis and fix Customer reported issues.

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience developing application software in C++ software.
  • Basic knowledge of Solaris 8 OS, Red Hat OS
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Knowledge of SS7, TCAP, SIP
  • Knowledge of nmake
  • Knowledge of virtualization of software applications and developing applications in cloud technology
  • Knowledge of bash and ksh
