Introduction
The IBM Fusion team part of IBM Storage is looking for a talented innovative and enthusiastic Software engineering professional. Our engineering team is responsible for delivering features and support for the IBM Fusion HCI product line with top-notch performance first-rate security fail-safe reliability and exceptional quality.
The Software Development engineer will be the key individual responsible for feature enablement and delivery of IBM FUsion features . You will perform hands-on coding and mentor junior developers working to increase the knowledge and performance of the collective team. In addition you will interface with senior members and team in working towards product and module improvement
We are a global team so communication skills (both verbal and written) are critical as well as flexibility to work with team members in other time zones.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Implement features given by Architects and Leads
• Work with lead to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
• Participate in code reviews and ensure quality of code.
• Mentor and guide the junior members in the team.
• Review test plans and provide guidance to the testing teams.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3 to 8 years of industry experience in Golang.
• Proven experience of S/W development process & tools for product development/debugging using Golang.
• Hands on experience on container technologies-Dockers Kubernetes
• Conversant with Kubernetes Storage Concepts and OpenShift
• Hands on experience in building Kubernetes Operators and Operator SDK
• Conversant with Kubernetes CSI
• Knowledge and hand-on usage of code and defect management tools.
• Ability to meticulously plan and detail test executions and identifying dependencies.
• Design develop and maintain automated systems and processes.
• Good written/verbal communication skills to report program status crisply and accurately.
• Experience working with Global teams.
