Software Developer

Job Description: RESPEC Company, LLC is seeking a Mid to Senior Level Software Developer to support an IT Program for a major laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You will be part of a team working with customers to provide development and related activities for various product support applications.

Work tasks are organized such that most development efforts will be performed from offsite on unclassified systems. Software Developer will support existing applications as well as developing new applications. Support includes designing fixes to issues, implementation of enhancements, application re-write, and additional maintenance functions of applications on an as needed basis. Actual work assignments may vary from week-to-week but are expected to average 40 hours per week.

Daily meetings will be conducted with the development Team to review tasks and status. Attendance is mandatory for assigned resources. Occasionally, written status may be required.

Minimum Requirements:

• • U.S. Citizenship required; must not possess dual citizenship with any other country other than the United States.
  • Must have a Bachelors Degree (Computer Science or Computer Information Systems degree) and 3-10 years of experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a DOE Security Clearance (Q or L) and maintain it for the life of the contract.
  • Experience working on full-stack software development team doing both front-end and back-end development.
  • Software design experience.
  • Strong Java experience.
  • Experience developing software on Unix/Linux.
  • Knowledge of distributed and parallel computing.
  • A wide range of programming languages including .NET 9e.g., C/C++, ASP.NET) Java, SQL, Delphi, Python, and JavaScript.
• Experience implementing, and documenting software engineering design patterns
• Familiar with Test Driven Development
• Experienced documenting application architecture and source code Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• • JavaScript, .NET experience.
  • Some C++, Delphi experience

Compensation: Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
