Job Description

• Torch Technologies is currently seeking a passionate software developer who will help to build robust, commercial-level software deliverable products for government customer.
• The candidate will support software and tool development to meet government customer needs
• The candidate will be part of a team applying rigorous software development standards to productize an existing analyst code base and suite of modeling and simulation tools, and to help in the development, testing, and integration of new modeling and simulation tools.
• The candidate should be self-motivated and have a proven record of developing software applications to rigorous commercial standards.
• Qualified candidates will work within a collaborative team and will have excellent communication, organizational and technical writing skills.

A Bachelor's Degree or higher is required in software engineering or other related technical field and 1-5 years' experience in software development. This position requires a final DoD secret security clearance to access classified information. Inability to obtain and maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Software/Computer/Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, or related technical field
• 2-5 years' experience
• Programming skills in C++ and Python
• Ability to work alone and collaboratively with team members
• Positive professional attitude and self-motivated
• Ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance
• Experience with Robust Software Testing (Unit Testing and Regression testing) and Agile Development environment
• Experience developing applications and productization of software
• Experience with User Interface and User Experience Design and best practices

Understanding and implementing solutions to software related cybersecurity requirements for a cloud-based execution environment is a plus but not required
