Software Developer Engineer In Test - DTS

Summary of Position:

The SDET is responsible for testing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The SDET will be responsible for testing in both lab and production environments. As well as creating the test automation framework, and executing automated & manual test cases.

Essential Functions:

• Design, develop, and create test documentation for computer systems or programs based on business, client, and functional requirements
• Perform audits for adherence to adequate configuration management of test ware, including safe storage of test strategy/plan/case, test data, test scripts, test results, and other test assets
• Present product demos persuasively and effectively to the client
• Efficiently manage time, prioritize work, and multi-task across several project assignments
• Communicate and interact in a professional manner with all levels of staff and management to coordinate project deliverables, deliver status reports, and facilitate meetings
• Strong understanding of backend computer system infrastructure and program design
• Troubleshoot technical systems or software issues experienced during testing and exercise independent judgment and discretion to determine strong solutions
• Create, analyze, and triage system or software defects

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine, and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or general equivalent
• 3+ years of test and/or SDET experience

Qualifications:

• Coding skills in C/C++/C#, Python, or Java
• Proven ability to use Selenium/Appium
• Proven ability to create a test harness
• Ability to execute manual and automated test cases
• Ability to troubleshoot issues experienced during testing
• Proficient use of JIRA and/or qTest for test case management, creation, and execution
• Proficient in C/C++/C#, Python, and/or Java
• Understanding of automation framework and how to apply a testing strategy to incorporate automation
• Ability to analyze user stories and requirements to determine which may be automated.
• Understanding of the testing life cycle to determine how and when to incorporate automation
• Ensure reporting and testing meets established client processes and procedures
• Ability to suggest performance improvements and a better customer experience
• Strong attention to detail, multi-tasker, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Exceptional reading comprehension skills
• 3+ years of experience in the review and comprehension of BRDs (Business Requirement Documents) and FRSs (Functional Requirement Specifications)
• 3+ years' experience in the design and development of test plans and test cases.
• Knowledge of IOS and Android phones from the user perspective (know how to use the phone)
• Test automation skills
• Well-motivated for overall system testing with strong analytic skills for diagnostics and root cause identification
• Ability to work nights or weekends to meet client or project requirements
• Adapt easily to shifting priorities, process changes, and/or schedule changes
