Position Summary
BlackBerry is seeking a talented student - AWS, Cloud technologies, Golang, and Python to design, implement, test, and maintain with an emphasis on tangible results. You'll be joining our research infrastructure team and working on bringing our micro services to support threat research operations. You'll also research new technologies to improve existing systems and design new ones. Implement strong root-cause analysis in resolving issues. Additional development languages may be used. It is strongly advised to use Udemy training prior to starting to familiarize yourself with using new languages. It is highly suggested to understand monitoring tools and techniques. For example: Elastisearch, Kibana and Databricks.

What you will do
- Build and maintain advanced tools for test automation
- Help identify weaknesses in our products
- Work with the development and test team to help define, implement, and maintain quality standards
- Analyze test case failures and perform root cause analysis as appropriate
- Take ownership of product quality
- Develop and execute test plans / scripts and clearly identify all the issues
Additional responsibilities for SDETs may include:
- Demonstrate creativity in executing integration tests during manual and automated testing activities.
- Record defects using bug tracking software including documentation information useful for debugging the issue.
- Participate in daily scrum meetings

Compensation
- Hourly Rate: 24.64 - 36.04 USD (Rate is dependent upon the student classification in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) guidelines.)
