  • Our Mission: Democratizing access to personalized learning. We don’t believe that AI will replace educators. Instead, we empower them to design and deliver personalized learning experiences at scale.
  • Our Growth: We've raised pre-seed funding and are growing rapidly. While we focus on higher and further education today, we're already expanding into new regions and markets.
  • Our Culture: We’re a young, driven team passionate about tackling the toughest challenges in education. We embrace builder culture and minimize scheduled meetings for ad-hoc discussions and maximized focus on coding and creating.

Tasks

What You'll Be Working On

How this role shapes up will depend on what you're good at and what you enjoy, covering both technical infrastructure and product development. Since you're joining the core team, you'll have a major say in our technical architecture, product direction, and big-picture strategy.

Product Development:

  • Collaborate directly with Emile and Paul to ship new features and improve the ones we already have
  • Take user feedback and turn it into actual product updates

Technical Leadership:

  • Keep our systems reliable and scalable as our user base expands
  • Iterate on our AI toolchains so we are always taking advantage of the newest AI capabilities
  • Build on a modern foundation powered primarily by Cloudflare and Google Cloud

A look at past projects to show what you'd be building:

  • A Duolingo-style daily quiz system to keep students actively engaged with their university material
  • Advanced AI pipelines that pull text and visuals from various documents, embedding those topics into knowledge graphs
  • A custom authorization engine designed to manage the increasing complexity of different institutional environments

Tech Stack:

  • Frontend: TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS
  • Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL)
  • Infrastructure: Cloudflare (Workers, Pages, Workflows, R2, KV), Google Cloud (Gemini, Cloud Run)
  • Tools: Sentry, Langfuse, PostHog, Stripe

It's completely fine if you don't know every technology listed above on day one. We trust your ability to pick things up quickly and learn new frameworks and tools as we build.

  • Curiosity and adaptability: Eager to learn new technologies and stay open to innovation
  • Balanced AI approach: You knew how to code before Cursor and AI tools, but understand how to leverage them effectively
