As a Software Developer, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing SharePoint solutions while ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the software development lifecycle, with the goal to make an impact across the federal government.

What you’ll do: 

  • Lead the development and maintenance of SharePoint applications, ensuring efficient and effective utilization of SharePoint technology to meet business needs.
  • Develop and enforce quality assurance standards and best practices for SharePoint development, ensuring that software solutions are reliable, scalable, secure, and user-friendly.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing of SharePoint applications, including functional testing, performance testing, and integration testing, to identify and resolve defects and ensure optimal performance.
  • Establish and maintain a robust quality assurance framework, including test plans, test cases, and automated testing tools, to facilitate efficient and effective testing processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, mentoring junior developers and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address potential risks and issues, proactively recommending and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for SharePoint development and quality assurance, providing guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders as needed.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

  • Three to five years providing configuration of SharePoint settings and building custom web applications.
  • Proven experience as a software developer, specifically with a strong focus on SharePoint development and quality assurance.
  • Expertise in SharePoint development, including designing and implementing SharePoint solutions, customizing SharePoint sites, developing web parts, and integrating SharePoint with other systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, and PowerShell, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint development frameworks and tools, including SharePoint Designer, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and SharePoint REST APIs.
  • Experience with software testing and quality assurance methodologies, including test planning, test case development, and automated testing tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams utilizing DevOps principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
