JAGGAER is seeking a Software Developer to join our Product Development Team that develops our Advanced Sourcing applications. We're looking for a developer who has a passion for quality code and development of new features that carry the business forward. The developer will have an impact on design and development strategy while having the opportunity to work in several different stacks across our microservices environments. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, robust solutions to our clients.

Our development teams use agile software development principles to build great products that serve the needs of our customer base- gathering and reviewing user requirements, contributing to application and database schema design, coding, testing, and maintenance. The Developers on the team contribute primarily through technical programming expertise but are an integral part of all team and cross-team activities. Developers are encouraged to have an influential voice in the design and architecture of new features.

Principal Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using standard software coding and design principles.

• Requirements Analysis: Analyze project requirements, perform high-level and detailed designs, provide accurate work estimates, and implement solutions.

• Teamwork: Collaborative and able to give and receive feedback on technical ideas and evaluate alternative solutions.

• Quality-focused: Implement software engineering best practices to ensure efficient development and have the ability to dev-test your own code.

• Communication: Able to articulate ideas and designs to both technical and non-technical colleagues and to write clear documentation.

• Adaptability: Open to trying new things, working in unfamiliar software stacks, learning on the go, "whatever it takes" attitude.

Position Requirements

What You Will Bring:

• 5-8 years of experience developing web-based applications - Perl or a similar language (Python, Ruby, PHP) is highly preferred, and a willingness to work in Perl is a must.

• Java, JavaScript, and MySQL experience are all definite nice-to-haves.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Comfortable working in Linux and cloud-based environments.

• Experience with software development tools and processes such as version control, bug tracking software, testing, debugging, documentation, and support.
