The Opportunity
As Ortho continues to grow, we are seeking a .Net/SQL Software Developer Analyst to support a critical customer facing Inventory Management application and its system integrations.
The principal responsibilities of this position are to utilize data analyst skills to troubleshoot issues reported by our customers and business partners and determine solutions based on data inputs, application code (.Net/SQL), and/or integrations and then communicate and implement those solutions.
This position is a great combination of data analysis and software development with the ability to have a strong and positive impact on our Ortho customers around the world.
Another key near-mid term responsibility will be to participate in design, development, and implementation of the next generation customer facing Inventory Management application, which will provide a great development opportunity to train and gain experience with Cloud based technologies such as AWS Services and tools like RDS, Lambda, Python among others and IoT data from our instruments. The position can be located in Rochester, NY, Raritan, NJ, or Remote.
The Responsibilities
- Data analysis to troubleshoot/investigate Inventory Management Application issues.
- Communicate, Software development against bugs and new requirements, configure or test accordingly to implement technical solutions to the application issues in support of our customers.
- Follow System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process to support and test complex solutions.
- Participate in design, development, and implementation of next generation Inventory Management application.
- Interface with Ortho Commercial Business team and GIS personnel.
- Foster day-to-day client relationships to support on-going and future business needs.
- Support management, in helping to strategize, define and integrate future technologies.
- Performs other work duties as assigned.
The Individual
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related field.
- Minimum of 3 years programming experience and end to end solution deliveries or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven analytical problem solving and debugging skills.
- Preferred technology skills include: ASP.NET, MS SQL, SSIS, and SSRS.
- Nice to have or willingness to train skills include: C#, Javascript, Azure DevOps, IIS, and Oracle.
- Experience with working integrated applications with databases and writing queries against databases.
- Experience with client side application development using java script frameworks.
- Experience with Web servers and highly secured web application deployment process.

Colorado State Posting Details: This position's starting salary is between $75,000 and $135,000 per year, and it is bonus eligible. Salary will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. Ortho offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, paid time off (including paid sick time) and paid holidays.
