As a Software Development Engineer at Magnite, you'll create and maintain experiences across many of our customer and internal-facing web apps. You'll have the opportunity to impact a number of our products, including our apps used to generate Performance Analytics reports for real-time bidding (RTB) and Demand Manager (Prebid).
We're looking for motivated, talented, and passionate people interested in joining our team of enthusiastic engineers focused on building robust, maintainable, performant, and well-documented applications.
In this role you will:

• Build microservice based API products and related backend framework to support direct API users and UI app needs.
• Work with a small team of diverse engineers distributed around the world
• Write well-tested, documented, and performant code
• Learn, educate, and support those around you, and receive the same from other engineers on your team

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong Scala expertise and 3+ years of experience working as an engineer
• A strong understanding of Microservice concept
• Working experience of MySQL and/or other RDB
• Experience shipping complex and well-tested API products
• You are an effective communicator, and have experience writing code in a team setting using source control software like Git/Github
• You are excited to learn from and teach other engineers, and believe in and practice continuous learning
• Experience working with remote & distributed teams
• Experience with Cloud Computing providers, such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
• You have understanding about functional programming principles
• Great communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Experience deploying web apps via CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Travis, etc.)
• You have worked with project management software like JIRA, Asana, or Trello
