Engineering manages the operations for Comcast’s industry-leading video, high-speed Internet and voice services for consumers and businesses, and runs a network that supports numerous multi-billion-dollar businesses. We enable and innovate solutions to support both traditional and emerging programmatic and premium advertising markets through our platforms, data, marketplace, and sales channels. This person will be responsible for planning and designing software and web applications. They will analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications. They will create and maintain the documentation of all development activity. They’ll assist with tracking performance metrics, integrate knowledge of business and functional priorities, and act as an individual contributor in a complex and crucial environment. They will participate in projects, stakeholder discussions and shares expertise with other peers.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Possess and display in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
- Proven experience in the design and development of complex applications.
- Seek out opportunities to tweak areas of the code base to improve efficiency and performance, maintainability, and/or flexibility of the design.
- Can collaborate with project stakeholders to understand product and technical requirements.
- Work with the development team, peers to design and deliver high performing applications, which meet organizational needs.
- Participate in technical discussions; collaborate with team members to identify the most effective solutions to technical problems.
- Analyze and resolve technical and application problems. Contribute in Technical grooming of architectural changes, design, and technical choices.
- Work closely with other software developers to design, develop, test, configure and maintain existing and new software platforms.
- Package and support deployment of software releases in a timely manner and work with Quality Assurance team to ensure that the application fits specification and technical requirements.
- Organize and participate in peer-reviews and participate in paired programming, and other team cadences.
- Efficient in the analysis & troubleshooting for production issues & code deployment activity.
- Write and edit technical documentation, including but not limited to software designs, technical manuals in collaboration with Senior developers within Team.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams - developers, software quality analysts, and appropriate stakeholder.
- Clear, concise, and effective communication skills.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experientially proven) in Computer Science or similar discipline.
- Experience with Dev Ops/Agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum.
- Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization.
- Experience in designing and building test tools and systems.
- Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment.
- Experience in designing and building advanced automated build, test and release infrastructure.
- Effective communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders.
- Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes.
- Experience on any third-party deployment tools.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of ASP. NET, C#, .NET Framework 4 and above, .NET Core, MVC 5, JavaScript, LINQ, HTML, CSS, XML, and JSON, IIS, jQuery, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Bootstrap, Angular 6 and above and Entity Framework 6
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud service eg. BLOB storage accounts, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage queues and Azure functions.
- Demonstrated experience in following areas: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservice Architectures & Patterns.
- Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases
- Experience in building quality and secured code adhering to best practice and industry standards.
- Proficient in Test Driven Development and dependency injection
- Experience working with NUnit, MSTest, Mock Object.
- Hands on experience in Designing and implimenting APIs
- Knowledge of RAML or OAS specification - RAML is preferred.
- Experience in GitHub, Git Workflows, Terraform & Ansible
Preferred Requirements:
- Development experience with Azure PaaS (Platform as a Service) and SaaS (Software as a Service) technologies
- Knowledge of Azure ML, Azure MLOps and Python is a plus – DESIRED SKILL
- Strong understanding of object-oriented Design and development.
- Database fine tuning skills are a plus.
- Experience in Azure API (Application Programming Interface) Management and Configuration.Good knowledge of API Governance and Security is a plus.Experience or knowledge of API Authentication mechanism is a plus.
- Good understanding of oAuth2, OIDC and SAML is a big plus.
- Proficient in Azure DevOps including CICD Pipelines.
- Strong experience with scripting using Python, PowerShell and Bash Scripts.
- Experience with container managed architectures (Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus.
- Experience with feature management & deployment strategy using Feature Management tool like LaunchDarkly.

Salary:
National Pay Range: $78,789.65 USD-$184,663.24 USD
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
