Kratos is looking for a Software Development Engineer. The position will support dynamic, agile projects implementing a SecDevOps approach across all phases of the software development lifecycle, to include design, development, test, and operational support / user feedback. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently as well as within a team setting on the design, implementation, and maintenance/troubleshooting of new and existing software solutions, primarily within the satellite command and control (C2) domain space. Knowledge of Container and Cloud implementations is a plus.

This Software Development Engineer position is a great opportunity based in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Candidate must show ability to effectively communicate with various team members, and customers
• Candidate must be able to leverage modern industry standard technologies into engineered solutions
• This candidate may be expected to support more than one project at a time,
• Effectively work with a cross functional engineering team
• Travel as necessary to support system integration, testing, and customer meetings
• Be a strong team player to the project team and to the organization
• Willing to travel to provide customer support (typically 10% travel)

Required to either be able to obtain a TS/SCI, or currently have a TS/SCI

• Batchelor of Science in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, or related degree) and at least 2 years relevant work experience (willing to consider a range of work and educational levels)
• Java and C/C++ programming
• C++ backend implementations, driver development
• Batch File, Python Scripting
• Required to either be able to obtain a TS/SCI, or currently have a TS/SCI
• Proven ability to implement software solutions to complex engineering problems
• Proven ability and experience in implementing a software design, unit testing, integration, and validation
• Ability to learn, take ownership, and deliver high-quality results in an unstructured environment
• Experience using Atlassian tools and working in an Agile software development environment
• A self-starter and able to work in a fast paced execution environment, with small and large engineering project teams (an absolute must)

• CI/CD Pipeline Experience

Competitive salary based on experience and education

Salary Range: $150,000-$170,000
