Software Development Engineer

The Siteimprove Platform Foundations team is responsible for creating and managing the integrated technologies supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of our Product Suite, focusing on a UI rendering framework that accelerates our front-end developers to build microsites at a global scale.

Our team is looking for a motivated software engineer who is highly collaborative and a broad-minded problem solver willing to build solutions that are scalable, resilient, and adaptable to the future needs of the business.

What you will be doing

• Directly contribute to writing code and designing full-stack application solutions with an emphasis on front-end development.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers and junior engineers, helping to overcome obstacles and foster growth opportunities​​.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders in creating a vision for evolving the Siteimprove applications.
• Maintain, monitor, and improve our solutions and systems with a focus on service excellence; apply industry standards and new technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and system performance.
• Participate in an Agile team as an individual contributor, helping with estimation, prototyping, bug fixing, and support of deployed applications.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What we will require of you

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or any related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
• 2+ years of professional, post-college software development experience designing and building full-stack web applications with an emphasis on frontend development using React or similar libraries and frameworks (Vue, Angular, Svelt, Solid) and Typescript with a strong understanding of the modern web ecosystem.
• 1+ years experience designing and developing RESTful API backend services.
• Strong technical proficiency, capable of problem-solving and applying critical thinking. A deep understanding of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures and commitment to technical excellence.
• You enjoy and take pride in the work of your team. You focus on the team's success and have a strong desire to lead by example.
