Role Description:

As a Software Development Engineer I at ShipBob, you will be working within a team writing software to support the ShipBob mission.

What you'll do:

• Focus on growing as an engineer, learning existing tools, resources and processes.
• Develops their productivity skills by learning source control, editors, the build system, and other tools as well as testing best practices.
• Capable of taking well-defined sub-tasks and completing these tasks.
• Developing knowledge of a single component of our architecture.
• Demonstrates that they are a high energy person.
• Effective in communicating status to the team.
• Exhibits ShipBobs's core values, focuses on understanding and living these values.
• Accepts feedback graciously and learns from everything they do.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.

What you'll bring to the table:

• 1-3 years of experience.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Excellent programming skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Object oriented mindset.
• Ability to work quickly and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Experience in the following:
  • SQL
  • JSON
  • REST
  • .Net
• Nice to have:
  • Ability to own small well scoped features and implementation of these features.
  • A defensive coding mindset with knowledge of OWASP.
  • A passion for QA and an understanding that testing is not someone else's responsibility.
  • A passion for DevOps and an appreciation for continuous integration/deployment.
  • Experience with C#.
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC.
  • Experience with Javascript fundamentals.
  • Experience with Relational DB Concepts.
  • Experience with Agile.
  • Experience with Vue.js.
