What we’re looking for:

Iodine Software is seeking a SDET to join the team. As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you'll join the platform development team where you will be responsible for leading the team’s automated and manual testing efforts. You’ll build automated test solutions to ensure the team is able to continuously deliver the highest quality product and data to our clients, on time. You’ll be challenged often and will be a quality champion for the product where you’ll help coach the team on quality engineering and testing best practices.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Design and implement automated end-to-end, performance, load, scalability, and security tests
  • Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to understand the product vision and requirements
  • Champion for quality to be driven into the product from the start
  • Set and drive expectations around quality for each product release
  • Create test plans, analyze test results, and create test data scenarios
  • Document and track defects to closure
  • Ensure that production defect root causes are analyzed and addressed in a timely manner
  • Improve processes and tools that help shape the quality framework within the team and across the organization
  • Conduct in-depth technical and performance analyses in support of production issue troubleshooting

 

What we’d love to see: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area
  • 5+ years of professional experience as an SDET designing, developing and maintaining test automation for modern applications and microservices
  • Hands-on experience building automation framework using Cypress or Playwright,
  • Hands-on experience building performance framework using JMeter or K6
  • Experience with white-box and gray-box test automation
  • Solid understanding of testing principles and methodologies
  • Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages:  Java, Python
  • Good working experience with REST APIs
  • Good proficiency with SQL
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD
  • Comfort working in a Linux environment
  • Experience working with Git, Pull Requests, Branching, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and responsible team player

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with Katalon Studio is a plus
  • Experience with public cloud solutions, such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Kafka
  • Fluent knowledge of frontend technologies and frameworks like JavaScript, TypeScript, React, NodeJS
  • Familiarity with statistics and healthcare domain
