About this position

As a member of Plexus' software development team, the Software Development Engineer in Test(SDET) is responsible for both software development and testing tasks and focuses on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software. As such, an SDET is a test professional with advanced programming skills who can create automation testing tools and frameworks to assist the manual testing process. To succeed as an SDET II, you should have excellent time management and organizational skills and strong communication skills. It would help if you had a passion for designing, developing, and testing and could upgrade your technical skills within the constantly changing technology sector.

What you'll do

• You create a test strategy for new features and existing products. Determine test case priority and execution frequency. Write concise and detailed test cases that provide complete information.
• You set up, maintain, and perform test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Desktop, and Web, and build test scenarios and acceptance tests.
• You understand the code flow and how it interacts with different components.
• You research test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrade existing practices and processes.
• You continuously improve and maintain the test case library and test software releases related to feature improvements and new product development.
• You have excellent designing and programming skills.
• You work with deployments teams, resolving level issues for systems, coordinating product design, and offering inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs.

You should have

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience.
• You have proven working experience in quality assurance. Demonstrated knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• You have 2-3 years of experience testing enterprise-level software, preferably user-facing eCommerce solutions.
• You have experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases.
• You have 2-3 of experience in Manual Software Testing. Experience with black box testing.
