Software Development Engineer in Test

YPrime’s eCOA Innovation team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to help us shape the vision and roadmap of innovative software products that fuel clinical trials. You'll be based remotely or in our Malvern, PA or Raleigh, NC office. At YPrime, we help our clients in the pharma and biotech industries to collect data from patients using mobile devices, assign patients to study treatment groups, and dispense clinical trial drugs and supplies using web apps. We’re supporting life-altering research, one project at a time.

- You'll develop and maintain an efficient and robust Automation Test Framework using a BDD approachÂ
- You'll understand the flow of code, system design, and how all components interact
- You'll understand project documents, customer needs, and product objectives to create and execute test cases
- You'll ensure automation test coverage is maintained for all features in development
- You'll create validation plans as per a risk-based test methodologyÂ
- You'll perform web and mobile test automationÂ
- You'll create test plans, summary reports, and other documentation as needed
- You'll document defects and track resolutions
- You'll perform other duties as assigned

- Associate degree, Bachelor or higher (in computer science), or equivalent experience is preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an Automation Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test, or an equivalent role
- Experience developing test strategies and test plans based on user stories, functional specifications, use cases, and business requirements
- Experience with Acceptance TDD & BDD with Cucumber, Gherkin, Specflow, or a related technologyÂ
- Experience testing enterprise .NET, Xamarin, or a similar web and mobile applicationsÂ
- Experience in the validation of REST/SOAP based APIsÂ
- Experience testing distributed systems and microservice-based deployments is preferredÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Exposure to performance engineering and testing with tools such as VSTS, NeoLoad, or JMeter
- Programming experience with C#, Java, or another Object-Oriented languageÂ
- Experience working in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO industryÂ
