Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test

About the Role

Trimble is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to develop and execute automated and manual tests to ensure product quality. The SDET responsibilities include test case development, manual testing, designing and implementing automated UI / API tests for web and API first backend applications. The responsibilities will also include monitoring all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

What You Will Be Doing

• Understand product requirements

  • Develop test cases

• Manual testing
• Automation testing
• Performance testing

Coordinate with your Development and SRE team and complete testing on time, report bugs and track them to closure

Take part in team standups, product review meetings, weekly meetings

Collaborate with stakeholders for troubleshooting product issues

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology
• Understanding of SDLC
• 3+ years of experience in Automation testing
• Understanding of REST APIs / HTTPS APIs
• Hands on experience with test report generation with any of the tools like Allure, Extent reports, Zephyr, etc.
• Strong in programming language likes Python / Java / C#
• Good experience in any of the automation testing frameworks like Selenium
• Ability to write and execute Database queries (SQL / NoSQL)
• Fluency in English

What Skills & Experience You Could Bring

• Prior knowledge in IoT based systems is a plus
• Exposure to at least one cloud provider platform (AWS/Azure) is a plus
