Software Development Engineer

Job Description:

About the Role: 

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager the Software Development Engineer will gather and analyze requirements. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the US with manager's approval.

You Will:

• Design code and test APIs data storage solutions and integration with third-party services.

• Identify and fix issues or bugs.

• Work with the team to quickly resolve problems and maintain system stability.

• Deliver features and projects on time.

• Actively participate in team meetings discussing progress challenges and potential solutions with other team members and stakeholders.

• Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest backend technologies tools and best practices refining skills.

• Receive guidance and mentorship from more senior engineers.

You Have:

• Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or a related STEM field and 2 years of experience with software design development version control testing implementation and debugging.

• 1 year of experience with delivering high-quality high-readability and scalable software solutions; 

• 1 year of experience with writing comprehensive test suites with optimal coverage; 

• 1 year of experience with HTTP protocols Git JSON Rest APIs Postgres SQL and unit testing suits; and 

• 1 year of experience with React Javascript and Java. 

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $117749.00 - $144444.00 per year. In the U.S. Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
