Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Seattle, Washington. Design, develop, and implement globally distributed backend services for next-gen communications system. Review service design, operations, platform infrastructure for high-availability and scalability. Analyze source code, design documents, logs, and metrics to identify and fix software bugs and performance issues. Work with Apples Cloud Infrastructure and site reliability engineering (SRE) teams to manage and run production services. Implement robust, complex application services for user-facing features leveraging next-gen communications system. Design, analyze, and implement high-concurrency systems (multithreading, multiprocessing, etc.). Debug all created systems and related software to ensure high quality and availability of the system and user features. Write and maintain design documents. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 - $250,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
• Using Golang, including experience building scalable, high-concurrency backend services compatible with cloud infrastructure and system reliability engineering stacks.
• Using Python, including experience developing foundational libraries to integrate and maintain backend systems.
• Using Java, including building robust platform independent for secure, scalable, and high-performance server-side applications.
• Experience in Service protocols (gRPC, Thrift or REST) to ensure efficient, scalable communication and interoperability between different services and systems.
• Experience in Pub/Sub (Kafka), including handling high-throughput, real-time data streaming and processing.
• Using SQL and NoSQL Database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL or Cassandra), including experience in managing, querying, and scaling data storage solutions tailored to synthetic data application.
• Using Kubernete to manage containerized applications, ensure scalable, automated deployment, and operation of application containers across clusters of hosts.
