The Opportunity

Adobe Experience Platform is a modern platform that powers the next generation of Adobe Experience Cloud. It is composed of high-performance microservices that ingest, analyze, optimize, action and govern data from the biggest companies in the world. Our customers entrust Adobe with their most valuable and important data. The Trust and Governance engineering team specializes in crafting services and features directly into the product that build trust with the customer and enable them to govern their data. Our data governance framework is based on rule building and rule enforcement throughout AEP workflows, both in the control and data plane. We use java for building microservices, CosmosDB/MongoDB/Neo4j on azure/aws for persistence and a host of tools for monitoring and alerting. As we sit at the center of AEP, we work very closely with other teams, review their designs and their integration with our services. We are looking for an outstanding Senior Software Engineer/Architect, who can bring their experience in the aforementioned tech stacks/domain to lead the design and implementation of our services, and have an impact beyond immediate organization.

What you'll Do

• Work on a new platform and the foundation for Adobe's next evolution
• Lead the architecture and design for platform initiatives
• Work closely with your team to build and support performant micro-services
• Work with Adobe leaders and architects to craft the product and technical vision
• Mentor and lead engineers in the team

What you need to succeed

• Proven experience building robust technology within a highly regulated industry and regulatory requirements
• 12+ years of experience developing distributed systems
• Expertise in supporting large-scale data systems
• Experience working in a small team using Agile practices to quickly develop and deploy services
• Ability to articulate nuanced design choices to a lay audience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $173,300 -- $312,200 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
