Software Development Intern - 2943158
Job Description
US citizenship and the ability to pass a Federal government clearance are required for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn how the Software Development Life Cycle is managed and executed by the team, to include the design, development, and deployment of software in an Agile environment
- Review and update technical documentation
- Learn how the build system works
- Gather system metrics and update the repository
- Review lifecycle documentation and update for validity
- Works with the O&M team to identify technical debt on projects, including build warnings, security scan results, best coding practices, and peer reviews
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must demonstrate sound decision-making and time-management skills
- Programming experience with Java
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be well organized
- Must be conscientious and self-motivated
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and show attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and report writing
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma required and should be currently working towards the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
