We're an award-winning IT solutions provider to the Federal government, currently seeking a Software Development Intern to join our team for a summer project supporting a major Federal agency.

US citizenship and the ability to pass a Federal government clearance are required for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn how the Software Development Life Cycle is managed and executed by the team, to include the design, development, and deployment of software in an Agile environment
• Review and update technical documentation
• Learn how the build system works
• Gather system metrics and update the repository
• Review lifecycle documentation and update for validity
• Works with the O&M team to identify technical debt on projects, including build warnings, security scan results, best coding practices, and peer reviews

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must demonstrate sound decision-making and time-management skills
• Programming experience with Java
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be well organized
• Must be conscientious and self-motivated
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and show attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and report writing

EDUCATION:

• High School diploma required and should be currently working towards the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
