Resideo is reinventing how we look at the home by understanding and improving the silent networks within the home: Water, Comfort, Energy and Security. As the Software Development Intern in the Energy space, you'll help build the connected services products that include IoT, SaaS and Cloud Analytics to enable service Pros to remotely diagnose problems with home equipment, create predictive maintenance plans and provide homeowners piece of mind by knowing that a pro is watching over their complex HVAC equipment.

As a Software Development Intern, you will take a role in developing LifeWhere Software Solutions which include cloud applications, mobile apps and desktop applications. Day to day activity could include solving advanced analytic algorithms, to building customer ports, and client mobile experiences. You will need to develop a broad skillset for complete stack development.

JOB DUTIES:

• Hands-on involvement with software architecture to ensure system compatibility.
• Work closely with mobile, desktop and cloud solutions.
• Working with technologies such as React, JavaScript, Xamarin, or Web API (on Azure)
• Examine time series data and test end-to-end solutions.
• Collaborate with Customer Support and end user Customers to solve problems.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Engineering or Computer Science
• Ability to code in multiple languages - C# is required
• Analytical skills & software development skills
• Ability to be an effective communicator

WE VALUE:

• Understanding various software development life cycles
• React, JavaScript, Xamarin, or Web API (on Azure) experience a plus
• Demonstrated the ability to develop efficient and high-quality software
• Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
• Ability to quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
• Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
• Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
• Prior relevant software development experience
• The desire to collaborate with other Engineers and build connections with industry professionals in an interactive, team-based setting!
