Software Development Intern

OVERVIEW

We're NT Concepts, a leading National Security solutions provider who is focused on staying in front of the digital edge with innovation and high value delivery. To help us stay in front of the digital edge, we are already planning for our 2023 Summer Software Development Interns. Our technical team is on the lookout for self-starters with technical majors like computer engineering or computer science.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who we are looking for:

• A rising junior or senior with a proven aptitude for our areas of passion will have the opportunity to complete a project that is sure to help their resumes stand out from the competition when it comes time to compete for full-time employment.
• Someone who has an interest in learning about solving problems for our government clients.
• All interns will have the opportunity to be considered for a future government security clearance and will also have a shot at follow-on internships and full-time employment.

If you are a patient and tenacious problem solver and are excited about growing your technical expertise to contribute to National Security, you should apply for this opportunity to work with our team. We operate the internship on a hybrid model where you will be able to work from our office in Vienna, VA and work remotely throughout the week.  

As an intern, you will:

• Be part of a broader team that works on a difficult problem in the National Security space
• Collaboratively design our products working with product management and visionaries in the company
• Participate in constructing and peer reviewing technical designs and architectural approaches
• Learn how to be part of a professional team

By the end of the internship, you will:

• Experience new ways in communicating with team members and clients
• Obtain real world experience working with a team in a scrum process
• Have developed a solution for a real-world problem

Your qualifications must include:

• A U.S. Citizen with the desire and ability to achieve a security clearance. While a security clearance is not required, preference will be given to potential interns who already possess a clearance. 
• A positive attitude and willingness to work with the team to achieve departmental goals
• Effective communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds at times.
